Grants

The NHMRC grant results were out late yesterday afternoon. Basically a grant to a scientist is really important coz it's the main body of funding for the following few years. Unfortunately, my boss didn't get his this year... i heard that he was actually quite upset too. At the moment, we don't know what effect that will have on our work. It shouldn't have a hugh impact on me but for Shelley and Ugur, they will have to talk to Pete and see if their jobs are secured - and for how long! It's really sad and makes me re-think if I still want to stay in the researching field. Man... not a very happy day today =(
